Worship . . .
is at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings. We celebrate Holy Communion each week. We hold Lenten Wednesday evening services, Holy Week Services, and Christmas Eve Services. Our worship is Christ-centered and follows the Christian Church Year
calendar.Christian Education . . .
involves several activities. Vacation Bible School generally meets in the summer. A Family Fun Day is also planned for summer. Confirmation classes are scheduled as needed.
The Women of the ELCA . . .
meets each Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. for Bible Study, making quilts for Lutheran World Relief, book reviews, fellowship, and business. Church dinners, Mother-Daughter Banquets, and other events are planned each year for the entire congregation. We support women’s charities through the SWPA Synodical Women’s Group.
Groups meet periodically.
The Youth Group . . .
meets on scheduled Sunday evenings and sponsors one special youth activity each month. These activities include both fellowship events and service/ministry projects. The Youth Group involves youth in grades six through twelve.
The Choir . . .
meets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evenings. The choir provides special anthems during our Sunday worship from
September through June. The choir also plans several fellowship get-togethers during the year.
Fellowship Activities . . .
are sponsored on a monthly basis for the members of the congregation. Activities include an annual Church Picnic for all ages, an Adult Picnic, tours of special sites and locations, a Christmas Brunch, a Pancake
Children’s Activities . . .
are sponsored during the year. These include a Sunday School Christmas Program, a Jesus’ Birthday Party, Easter activities, etc.
Member Participation . . .
is an integral part of the life of Nativity Lutheran Church. Members of the congregation serve on the Congregation Council and the various committees. Members volunteer as teachers and helpers in our Sunday School and our Vacation Bible School. Members also serve in a variety of capacities in our worship services as assisting ministers, lectors, greeters, ushers, altar care, and the choir.
